Enviromental Stewardship Coming to Montgomery!

One of my personal goals for Montgomery is to become a Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Golf Course.  The first step to obtaining Audubon Certification for Montgomery Country Club is to complete a Site Assessment and Environmental Plan.  We finally got this completed yesterday and submitted this to ACSP.  Our goal is to be certified in all six recognized categories which are Environmental Planning, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, Water Quality Management and Outreach and Education.  We have already started compiling a lot of the documentation that we will need in each of the categories to continue to become certified.  Once we gather all the information and documentation in a category we will submit that information to ACSP to achieve certification.  Please be on the look out for more information on our progress and efforts to promote environmental stewardship.
